They are not supposed to use internet for personal use at all and there only 2-3 web sites that are used for work.

I have to get strict on this since we just lost one of the computer due to viruses...

if you are on a proxy based internet setup then you proxy server will be able to provide you a log of the vivited sites along with the system names.

i am sure there a lot of softwares availble to check internet access.

The best solution for your problem would be that you have to configure your system in such a way so that you are the administrator, and you and only you can configure the way and sites the employees can visit, I dont know the exact procedure, but I will tell you that if you make your computer an administrator computer and connect the employees computers to it, you can control their activities and firewall other sites, other than the sites which are required by your organisation.

Your webserver can record these actions in a log file - its not very practical though if it is a large organisation, because you would have 1000's of entries each day.

If you have a server or router, you can track their activity as the IP addresses traverse that node.

History can be had from the main server, it remains even it is deleted from the persnal systems.
