Sean Connery was by far the best Bond. You can't beat the original. However, I think with the exception of Timothy Dalton, they have done well with the recast. I will withhold judgment on the new guy (I didn't see a reason to replace Pierce Brosnan). My favorite Bond film was "From Russia With Love".

I'm going to be controversial here - I always thought the best Bond was Timothy Dalton, unfortunately he had some of the worst films though! Best bond film - The World is not enough

Connery - was a great Bond, but the movies weren't made well.
Moore - was good but he seemed to play the role with to much comedy.
Lazenby - Crap
Dalton - Did OK, but just didn't look like Bond should.
Brosnan - I personally think he was the best. His first movie Goldeneye was great but I liked all of his movies.

Roger Moore
For his cheesy one liners. The others are far too serious. Best bond film is The spy who loved me

Connery, but my fav bond film is a licence to kill. it's the most gritty bond film, even if Dalton did look constipated!
The last few where very poor!
