I'm not able to print an MS WORD DOCUMENT which i downloaded from a site. What's wrong?Whenever i try to print i'm asked where i would like to save it though i've already saved it & then it says 'printing failed'.Plz help me i'll really b grateful to you. It's urgent.

Could be you have the wrong version of the file. Or maybe your computer is set to print as file rather than on its default printer.

TRY:

1) Open your control panel
2) Look for your Printers and see what is checked as your default printer. If it isn't a printer, choose your printer and right-click, then choose the option SET AS DEFAULT PRINTER.

Try using a software to aid in printing the document and if that's not working try coping the document on a new page ms word if not accepting try transfering it on notepad followed by replacing it on a new ms-word page. That usually drains out the problem in the file and lets you print it. Else file may be corrupt.

You didn't setup your printer to print in ms-dos mode. you have to reinstall your printer. Or open the file, copy the content to words or word pad depending on the volume. Then you can print it.

It may have been downloaded as a read only file. right click the file and go to properties - it the read only box is checked, deselect it. Hope this helps
