Ok i have this question in my head. back in the 1800's some time thier was a race with 2 automobile powered by steam and such. well in recent years thier has been other auto power by eletricity. i guess im asking what if back in the 1800 when eletricity came out or the steam powered car was recearched more where would we find ourselves today? Corprate oil is the main blaim to why these other technology were not researched more.

It would be a whole different world, choosing a different form of energy would change how we create and use vechiles. Who knows we may have to go backwards to go forward.
By eliminated electric or steam we eliminate certain designs and possibilities.

Ya you are right that there are not much researches on other resources for running cars;but these days some people are working on it and there is some success but there is no perfection in any case.People are different with different ideas some people want a speedy car but in that case with steam and electricity that much power production is lacking.Secondly cars working on electricity or steam requires much more maintenance;but i think the way petroleum is consuming one day electronics and steam engines cars will be the first priority.When this will happen its very convenient to use blue-tooth technology or wify technology in running cars and their security as the main source electricity is there within;so then we can run cars with our mobile phones.I myself working on this blue tooth project.

steam engines were powered by coal, not very enviromentally friendly. electric engines would help the environment, but we still get a lot of power from coal, dams, and nuclear sources. none of those sources are all that great. steam engines are not efficent enough.

Both the electric and steam engines have limitations that the gas engines don't have.

we are already working on that. steam never died. hydroelectric cars are gunna boom after gasoline.
