I am about to start a new job and I will be on £120 a week, so just wondered which bank account do you think I should use, as it goes directly in there? Like who gives the best deals etc.. (I am from the UK!)

I've never had a problem with Barclay's, avoid natwest their charges are ridiculous and they let you get in debt to easily. sounds great but not when you get the charges afterwards.
tsb can be just as bad.
Halifax is ok and Britannia do a loyalty bonus which gives you money just for staying with them but they are both building society's not banks.
good luck with your search.

Is that £120 a week after stoppages ,if so, Alliance and Leicester
give 5% interest a year on monthly incomes of £500 or more on their premier accounts. As a month is 30/31 days you should qualify.

But forget gimmicks just go with a bank that treats you right!

Ask the Motley Fool - Fool.co.uk.

They regularly compare financial products and tell you which, in their opinion, is currently the best.

NATIONWIDE!!!!they are the BEST!!!open a "flex"A/c.consider a savings A/c with them as well.If you use your "flexA/c card to withdraw cash when abroard they do NOT charge you as do most other banks for withdrawing your own money.Ask which ever bank you choose if they would charge you!!!!!!

HSBC and Nat West. I have had accounts with both. On every high street there is always one of them.

Some banks are BIG, STRONG and UNFRIENDLY, but my experience with HSBC is very good. I don't know much about Barclays.

Would recommend HSBC.
