is it alive? is it a solid or gas? just wtf is fire ..and dont say one of the elements cuz i already know that..just look at it..it dances...i got to much free time to think about this but still! what exactly is it made out of its see through VERY hot, bright! it makes its own light....and has its own colors....wierd!

and why does it go out when a non flamable liquid touches it? what temp does it have to be to stay lit?

The answer is that fire is a low energy plasma. A low energy plasma is basically a gas which molecules have reached an excited state and it's radiating energy in the form of light (photons) at various wavelengths. It's considered low energy because the molecular motion of the particles is relatively slow when compared to the speed of light and other plasmas like the Northern lights.

There's solid, liquid and gas. I heard somewhere that there's a fourth state of matter, in which fire falls into.

Oh, yeah, the state is called plasma!

correction fuel HEAT and oxygen, and it probobally goes out with non flammable liquid b/c it smothers the oxygen and with out all 3 elements u wont get a fire

fire is wen a fuel reaches its ignition temperature and then b4 igniting itself changes into gaseous state and results in a fire! the reason for the large flame is because of the gaseous state of the fuel! all fuels before they ignite are changed into gaseous state! eg candles! the wax is put in gaseous state initialy after which it ignites and causes a flame! that is y all flames rise upwards!
