The best way to slim period is aerobic exercise. To focus on the butt and thighs, go for a run, a walk that taxes like a run, or some other arbitrary activity that emphasizes using your quads and gluts.
I can't speak highly enough of targeted strength training though. Imagine having enough muscle to noticeably burn calories and carbs by doing something as inconsequential as sleeping.

Do squats and leg lifts daily. They tighten your glutes.. and tone thighs and butt area. Excellent for women with a heavier lower body.. like moi! Good luck xx

Put your feet together and do a sitting or squatting position then pull up, clenching your butt muscles and then do the sitting position again then pull up with your leg raised on the side then do the squatting position and raise the other leg when you pull up. Alternate the leg lifts and keep on doing the squat and butt clench.

eat healthy, exercise. jog, do squats, invisible chairs, leg lifts, etc. There are a lot out there you can do for that. Swimming helps to.
