The question really is - do you want to use your cat as a Secret Agent against your parents? Ha!

Let us first get all the HUMANS on earth speaking one language then we go onto animals.

The animal brain works similair to ours in general, but we have much larger language processing parts in our brains which are in any case MUCH more powerfull than most animals'. So we can understand language because it is central to our society - note society, the thing most animals don't have!.

We can however electically stimulate animal brains to give us a desired effect sucha as making them run, walk or sit but this is having robot-pets. But we hardly know anything about animal behavior... and this little we know can only be applied to a handfull of species.

But there are parrots and monkeys and dolphins that understand us, although i doubt we'll be Dr Doolittles soon.

New science and reaserches believe to develope a new language in humans and animals, but not by tonque... this can be done by waves, it has been proved that every thing(every thing even solid) has magnetic field arround itself and humans can communicate by this each other or even other animals and other animals inverse. (you will have one sender one receiver) maybe in the future years it can be public.

I think humans and animals would communicate in some ways ,not only use the language .such as touch, use eye contact
