It must be the worst kept secret ever!!

The older Harry gets the more he looks like Hewitt (poor sod ha ha)

It's not the first time a royal ba*tard has been passed off as the real thing ;-)

It's just you and the ill-informed who believe that it is "blatantly" obvious about Harry's parentage. It is not!You are doing a disservice to the late Princess of Wales and to her son,Harry .Harry was conceived and born during the time when Diana was not with James Hewitt.Red hair is a SPENCER TRAIT;Harry is the spitting image of his aunt Lady Sarah,Diana's sister.Harry is the son of Charles and Diana.Only misinformed outsiders continue to think that Hewitt is Harry's father. No one in the Royal Family,or their circle thinks so.This very subject was brought up on Larry King;the answerers were current or former employees of the Queen or of the Prince and Princess of Wales. They all pointed out that it was impossible for Hewitt to have fathered Harry;at the time of Harry's conception and birth,Diana and Charles were still committed to making the marriage work. After Harry's birth, the marriage broke down and along came Hewitt, two years later.
Instead of reading tabloids, read the many biographies about Diana;you will be able to see for yourself that Hewitt is not the father of Harry because Diana and James were not seeing each other at the time of Harry's conception and birth!

It is widely thought and rumoured that Prince Harry is in fact the result of James Hewitt and Princess Diana's affair.

We will never know for sure though.

How unkind to bring this all up again after all these years.
Have you even bothered to give any thought to how the guy must feel when this old chestnut keeps re-appearing?
Even if he is James Hewitt's natural child I think Prince Charles has made it obvious at every opportunity to show how much he loves both his sons & when seeing them together the affection & love between the three of them is obvious & if Prince Charles has accepted him then it is none of anyone else's business.

I've read that Diana didn't even meet James Hewitt until a year or two after Harry was born, but I guess only she would know for sure.

YES! I've always thought exactly the same thing. Harry does indeed seem to be the spitting image of James Hewitt!

I would have to agree! Though, we will never find out! If he is James Hewitt's son, they hid it very well..probably for the sake of Harry, moreover for the sake of the royal family's reputation! If Harry is Charles son..or not..it will always be a mystery!

Di didn't have her affair with James Hewitt until well after Harry was born. Poor Harry - wouldn't you feel bad if your parentage was open to public discussion and people thought you were a bastard.

I don't see how it's 'blatently obvious' unless it was conception by proxy. Let's not forget that the Royals have Scottish ancestry (no offence, y'all). I don't think the red hair is from Lizzie I because our Queen isn't the direct descendant of her due to Lizzie I being succeeded by her cousin, James.

The red hair could be a Spencer trait as someone quite rightly pointed out.

Mind you, all these Royals and poshies are related, so that could explain the resemblance. HM is a cousin of ol' Phil, and she is also a distant cousin of Dubya, posh as he isn't. Princess Di herself was descended from two illegitimate sons of Charles II (Dukes of Grafton and Richmond)... it is said that when Wills finally ascends, he'll be the first King to be directly descended from Charles I since Queen Anne... get your conspiracy theorists hats out for that one...

Diana's affair with Hewitt started just after Harry was born. I'll add references later.

Me and my glf argue about this one cos I think he is definitely a carbon copy of James Hewitt. My glf says that the red hair could be from Dianas side - her brother has red hair, but come on you can't mistake the looks can you?
