First no matter what foundation you get you want one that is
oil-free!!!

I have oily skin as well and there is a HUGE difference between oil-free foundations and ones that contain oil.

*When you buy your products try to buy them oil-free it will reduce the shine and oil.

*TLeClerc makes an AMAZING foundation that is oil-free. And that has been the best one i've ever tried and I've tried a lot.

*You can use an oil-free foundation with a powder like MAC's Studio Fix (which is also a foundation but in a powder form). It's a great combo because it gives you that extra covererage for an amazing complexion!!!!! Try it I garuntee you will love the results.

Good Luck!!!

If you're willing to try department store brands I can tell you what has worked for me: Wash your face with a cleanser that rinses clean and designed for oily or combo skin types. Follow with appropriate toner and moisturizer and do not skip the moisturizer you will end up with oily skin that is also tight and dry. It's awful. Use just a pat right after your face toner and you can find a nice gel oilfree formula. After dried try a primer (I like lancome face primer personally). The foundation that really does the trick is called Estee Lauder Double Wear (my shade in tawny). You don't need a whole lot actually the best technique is to use as little as that which will cover the area and try patting as opposed to rubbing. This way you will get a more even smooth look. Wait for it to dry and follow with some loose powder (I like Clinique in transparency 3). You don't need a lot of powder just enough to set the foundation. Try this and see if it works or not.

First of all look for a brand thet's hypo-allergenic. Since you have oily skin, I think the best brand that will suit you is L'oreal water-based liquid foundation. Get the matte-finish tube.

If regular foundations are not able to cover your scars, try using a L'oreal concealer. Applied properly and evenly, it will surely conceal whatever needs to be concealed on your face.

After applying the foundation (and/concealer) dab some pressed or loose face powder for a fresh look.

Mary Kay's Medium-Coverage Foundation. It's foremulated to work well with oily skin. If it doesn't completely cover your scars, you should try using a concealer underneath.

I have oily skin and I used Bare Minerals, but there are other brands of mineral makeup too. They help hide flaws, and are the best for oily skin.
