... that FIFA are either considering or have already decided (not quite sure and thatis why I put the question here) that it willl be THREE yellow cards and not two which will lead to a disqualification/exclusion for the following match. I think this is BRILLIANT news. However, the sending off after 2 yellows will be unaffected although I am not quite sure HOW FIFA will circumvent that one. ----------Views? (please state your country of origin if you don't mind) Thank you.

Well I think that is a disaster but typical of Blatter. Gives players an extra chance to manipulate rules and the flow of play and the referee another chance to stuff up. Maybe he is good friends with Poll. Granted some cards have been unwarranted and given for very minor breaches but on the whole that responsibility lies with the referee's and FIFA, not necessarily the system in place. You would think FIFA had much more come out of this WC that they needed to look at and change such as standards for referee's and the problem of fake injuries and dives that do nothing to enhance the game. With so many calls, crucial ones at that, proved incorrect on replay, they should first have considered what technology needs to be introduced into the game and how to successfully implement that in the best interest of the game. It's not even over and already that incompetent **** is making changes for the next WC.

u heard correctly,

according to fifa chief stepp bladder

there will be 3 yellow cards from the next world cup, cos the punishment for 2 fouls is too harsh.

he explained that if u do a small mistake in semi finals u might not play finals.
hence the decision,, this came after the record yellow/reds in the portugal vs netherlands match

I don`t agree. I believe that such decision will make it easier for players to be harsher in the game. Besides, if two yellows in the same game make a red, it makes no sense that only three yellows lead to exclusion. If you heard right, then I think the players should also only receive a red card after seeing three yellows...

what a joke. why do they insist on changing the fundamental rules of the sport. why dont they just tell refs to be more lenient. or instead dont let yellow cards carry on for more than two matches. i mean how can you expect a defender to not to get 2 yellow cards over the course of three games. just suppose someone gets a yellow card for time wasting in the round of 16 and then a yellow in the semis - he misses the final. how stupid and unfair is that. i mean especially if one was for time wasting or something.

That would be nice. I think a player missing out the next game just because of a yellow card is quite unjust!

i concept Frank changed into honestly astounding in what he reported. The DJ changed into properly out of line highly on the anniversary of Mrs Lampard's lack of existence. My ideas and sympathies are with Frank and his relatives right this moment and this smear on radio changed into unjust and uncalled for. i wish the DJ receives a Jonathan Ross kind punishment... wager he wont although cos a minimum of now some extra human beings will lidten to the station!!

It's already the case - just ask Graham Poll and Joe Simunic!!!

it doesnot have any impacts to team either 2 or 3 yellow cards.i think the players were impacted .they must be able handle their emotions when on the field

I think that this is bad news, if it is true. If you get a warning, unless it is undeserved and the other team dove, then you should know not to do it again.
