no. they will probably maul you and then take your food. but if a bear has gotted human food before and associates it with humans he may maul you even if you dont have food. a bear will also attack you if you are between the bear and her cubs. having a bear running after you is friggin scary. believe me.

they'd LIKE to.. it's the raccoons ya gotta watch out for.. They don't have little masks for nothing! You've gotta guard your food. You need to cover it (put it in trash cans..) Put it up 'high' in the trees too. Also, try and eat all your food up FIRST!.. (before the light night beggers can come around to scarf it!) later. (melancholia)
