In my dream, I'm standing on the sidewalk, downtown. I see a school bus come to a stop, and out steps this girl that works at the same store that I do. I've been wanting to ask this girl out for some time now. Anyway, the bus' doors slide shut behind her and she starts banging on them, trying to get back on the bus. She doesn't succeed though and the bus drives off. She sees me and I approach her. We exchange a few words but i can't remember what exactly. I flag down a police car and the officer agrees to give the both of us a lift, although I have no idea where we're actually planning on going. The dream gets foggy after this and I don't really remember much. I should not that in the dream, her hair was down, which is very uncommon, as I've only seen her with her hair down once. I'm not sure what this dream is trying to tell me.

Mike, I wouldn't actually say we work "together". We work at the same store, but I rarely see her more than two or three times in a three week period.

it means that you are afraid that she will think that you are a stalker, but she can trust you, which is why the police car is there. or maybe you are a stalker and you are being driven away in apolice car bcuz you got busted.

Let me analyze this dream...
sidewalk, downtown, store = place with lots of people.
school bus = memories of the past,( unless you are still taking school bus.. since you said work at the same store)
police car, officer = self alert, consciousness to tell you not to commit crime/sin. (have sex before marriage..)
This dream basically is telling you that you desire to meet a girl (even though that girl does not exist in your real life), you need a companion to share thoughts. However, you are a shy person, you do not want to go overboard with any girl. The image of police car and officer stops you even though it said giving you a lift. It actually gives you warning about meeting girls.
If you are in school, I would say the dream is telling you to concentrate on school rather than thinking about girls. If you are working now, you probably have to open up your social life. and be open with people especially opposite sex.

You obviously like her with her hair down. You don't feel safe asking her out, that's why you flagged down a police car. The school bus has me baffled. I'd say ask her out anyway, the worst thing she could say is no. You stated you work together, so based on that leave it alone. Those relationships don't fare well, then you have to come to work everyday and see this person. I know it's tough brother, but let her go

The first part of the dream, its just the mind playing back the history of you and her having to meet... Then she was trying to leave the store to work somewhere else but she just cant and got stuck working with you.... You did talk to her in real life right... maybe just plain talking... thats why you dont remember 'em from your dream. Ok.. the foggy part is where it shows that in the real life.... its up to you to make the move.. what do you want to do with her?... The hair... what do think of it?.. did she look nice with that hair?... if you think it did.. then you go for her... If you think her hair looks better in real life, then go for her but be patient...

Dreams use alot of puns. think about it--she "missed the bus" and "let her hair down"--get it? Or maybe you're worried about "missing the bus" by not asking her out.
Maybe this could be your chance to ask her out by saying I had the strangest dream about you the other night. I was wondering if we could go out for coffee and talk about it.

It means you like her with her hair down. It also means you're gonna be a great boyfriend someday because you saw this girl wanting to go somewhere and you do stuff you wouldn't normally do (flag down a cop) just to help her. It sounds like you really like this girl. The school might represent innocence or something and you see this girl as being pure which is why she gets off a school bus.
