The prosecutor in Italy has demanded that Juventus relegate to serie C (start with -6 points next season), and that they be stripped of the last two titles they won. Milan, Lazio and Fiorentina should relegate to serie B and start with -3, -15 and -15 points.

Do you think that the Court will go along with this and that this will also be the verdict?

All of the above of course because of the match-fixing scandal in Italy.

The fact that I ask this question has nothing to do with the Italian performance in the World Cup. That performance is only more admirable because of the whole affair, and the condition of Mr. Pessotto.

Being a Juventina I also believe that anyone should get punished for doing wrong!! What I don't believe is that the players that had nothing to do with it shouldn't have to relegate to Serie B or C...It's unfair to the innocent players. If it happens Juventus is going to lose all their best players!!

I hope that Juventus will relegated in serie C, because Mr. Moggi has stolen many matches, and with Juve also Milan Fiorentina and Lazio will relegated in serie B. I'm so sure because this is the greqatest scandal in Italy and I think that this will be the verdict. The judges will be very severe because this situation worries all Italy and you can't help these teams even if Juventus is a big team with many good players (Ibrahimovic, Vieira, Buffon,....) and probably it won the league without the Moggi's help. Gratings from an Italian supporter and excuse me if my English is not perfect

I doubt it will happen. Depends on how many of those involved in the scandal leave the club. The Juventus coach resigned today, etc. The league cannot afford to have that many of its great teams brought down to serie B or C; the league cannot handle it b/c the players won't stay. The truth is that a whole club should not be blamed for the actions of a handful of people. And those involved are morons if they didn't think or know they'd get caught.

What saddens me is this question has been posted after an incredible victory for Italy against a dtermined German team in the World Cup. My answer to your question saddens me more.. YES.
While sports teams are revered, they should never be above the law. In America in 1919 the Chicago White Sox were paid to throw the World Series. Eight men were found guilty of this because they were also gambling on the game of baseball. And the result was those eight men, including who should be a Hall of Famer "Shoeless" Joe Jackson, were banned from the game for life and the team was fined heavily even though they had no knowledge of the offense being committed.
The differnce though is the very nature of the crime itself. Sport is supposed to be putting your best players against their best players and find out who is better. To blatantly bribe officials, who can determine an outcome with a even one bad call, is a blow to the integrity of a game revered in Italy. If they are proven guilty of these crimes... Then the punishment the prosecutor is asking for, I truly believe, fit the crime.

Hit them all hard I say, serie C for the lot of them and a fine so big that it puts off anyone, anywhere, thinking of doing the same. Cheating and Italian football goes hand in hand it seems, this isn't the first time. These teams in my mind are the lowest of the lowest in the entire world of football. Smaller Italian teams have probably suffered because of what we know now. Think of what we don't know? The names Juventus, AC Milan(I have one of their strips, it'll be getting binned!)Lazio and Fiorentina mean nothing to me now. As far as anyone knows, they may well have cheated their way to every one of their "victories". I feel sorry for their supporters, who believed their teams genuinely won fair and square. I couldn't go back and watch them again if I were them.

If there is a God in Heaven they will be. Cheating like racism should not be tolerated in sport or anywhere in life. And I don't think the fans are overly sympathetic right now. To win because you're the best is fantastic, to win because you cheat is dismal and they didn't just cheat for the result, they cheated the fans who paid good money to watch a match on which the outcome was already decided. I won't miss Juve, AC, Fiorentina or Lazio if their overseers believe they need to cheat to win or lose. You would think with the heaps of talent both Juve and AC have there would be no need for such a dispicable action.

I’m a Juve fan, and to tell you the truth I think that this is a real punishment, the game level in what they played was too low, their game had no beauty at all… Juventus had, well maybe the best players in the world, just take a look at their roster (from 2005/2006): Buffon, Zambrotta, Canavaro, Thuram, Camoaronesi, Nedved, Emerson, Del Piero, Trezeguet… - all these players are world class players, and should be able to defeat every single one of the teams in Serie A… Don’t you think so? So this punishment in my opinion is very real…

Juventus will be relegated to Serie B with a 15 or 19 point deduction. It will be announced tonight.

I hope that Juventus, AC and the rest get relegated. Apparently all the contracts with the players will be null and void and they will be free to play with anyone else. Serves them right.

More importantly, my beloved Inter Milan will be at the top of Serie A (I hope).

Go Inter Milan & Arsenal!!!!
