Yes they deserved, Argentina played better, they created chances. But unfortunately Roberto's (GK) injury ahs lead the coach to change his tactics. Then comes the referree, he should have booked Klose and should have allowed a penalty for Argentina.Messi sidelined was a big mistake made by Pekerman beside substituting Requilme. To be honest I'm an Argentinian Fan and really wanted them in the Finals but unfortunately Fifa had there word with the host country,

I fell so. They played very well against Germany. The problem was:
1> Penalty Shootouts
2> The Referee.
The Referee gave too many cards to Argentina & free kicks to Germany which'd to be the opposite. But Argentina can come back at 2010 WC at South Africa.

Yes, Argentina played better. Even with the home crowd and a ref in their favor, an injured Argentine goalie, and Messi, Crespo, Aimar, and Saviola on the bench, and Sorin and Heinze being too careful (to avoid a red card or another yellow), Germany could not break the tie until the PK shootout.

I think that the Argentiniens played better than the Germans, so yes, I do agree that Argentina is the deserved team. But I also think that australia is the deserved team over italy. Italy are a bunch of cheats and they shouldn't be where they are.

No. I think Italy doesn`t deserve to be in the final... And it would have been fairer that the semifinal was Germany-Argentina.
But, that`s football.

It seems strange to have them knocked out in the quarters, but to be fair Germany won so they deserved to make the semis, glad Italy won last night though!

I would be really glad if they went on. I am their fan. They were the best team in this tournament and they deserved to win it.
