why do people think all romanians are thievs?

I don't think Romanians are thieves. They're not in a rich EU state yet, they have problems with corruption after the downfall of communism (before then too) and so maybe that's why some people like to make fun. Romanians are inhabitants of an amazingly beautiful and interesting country. Pity the Dacian culture did not survive the Romans - and a shame Romanians will always be known for Vlad's antics, but.. You have everything to be proud of.
Lastly, Romanians are not in the FIFA World Cup, so I think they're unlucky, and as they're a good team I'm unlucky viewer too.

Don't feel bad; most of my fellow Americans don't even know where Romania is, let alone have any opinion of Romanians.

probably because 90%of them are! i live in Romania and the main word here is corruption. in order to achieve something in this country you must bribe the ones that are supposed to help you for free. receiving bribe it's a way of stealing.

just prejudgement. iknow some and there fine. but because some are(just like in every country) they all get labeled as theivs
