Hi,

Science has indirectly provided support to many philosophical and metaphysical theories. Cosider "the law of conservation of mass and energy". Since matter (and energy) combined can never be destroyed but can be converted (or transformed) from one form to another. Similarly Souls or spirit do not get destroyed by death.
The life gets transformed. Nothing in the material world seems to get destroyed as stated by the laws of science. Then why should life or soul or spirit get destroyed by death ?

Well I do not remember my previous lives.
But then I do not remember all the incidents of my activities when I was 1 year or 2 year old.

The god or the ultimate essense, whatever you call it goes by the power of truth and not dogmas. So the virtuous gets rewarded and the wrong doer gets punished. We still see many people doing absolutely wrong, ugly, unjust things. Only some of them we see to have got punishments for their deeds. Only a few seem to have been rewarded for good deeds. Well the calculator of the divine runs on a larger scale - not just 1 life.

Then again I don't think that the Ultimate essense or The God judges all beings' future by their deeds in 1 life and either offers them a bounty or a hell forever. Consider that people are born and brought up with different backgrounds and environments.
Some find it easy to follow the path of principles and virtues and the others may find it way difficult due to their surroundings etc.
Do you think it will be fair for God to give these souls with total disparity in the opportunity to do good, eternal heaven or eternal hell based on what they do in just 1 life ?

Can the God, the Ultimate essense or whatever it is be unjust and mean ?

This logically will lead us to the proof of existence of "life hereafter" and "life after death" in form of human being Or higher level living beings Or even equivalent of Gods (Too subtle and powerful beings).

Life is an evolution. One goes ahead from where one is until one becomes "One with" the ultimate essense !!! This may take efforts of 1 or more lives !

In this limited area for answers I could write only a few lines.
If you want to ask more or are uanble to follow my explanations then you can write to me on : mdkhara@hotmail.com

All the best !!

I believe that there is existence after death. One of the fundamental issues of our being is that are we a human having a spiritual experience or are we a spirit having a human experience? I hope for the latter as that would be indicative of some sort of existence when our human existence has ended. I also believe that we existed in some form, spirit or otherwise prior to our current existence as humans. I'm not necessarily saying I believe in reincarnation because I think we may be on some sort of journey through time. It just seems incomprehensible to me that given the fact that our universe is 12 to 16 billion years old and that we would only exist in it for an average of some 78 years.

Dear Sir. Thank you for this big question and smart one.
Of course their is a life after death, because we have to see the evaluate our things we did in our first life, other wise how could be the bad guys be bunched and the good guys be reward. also if not what is the meaning of our life so every one can do any thing and thin die so what, but should be another life so every one should judged.

There is absolutely another "existence" beyond this life and it has and continues to interact with us all. Where you fit into that existence depends on the life you lead in the here and now.

Whether you are religious and believe in the bible or not, you have admit to yourself that the universe is a universe of laws and of balance. For example:

Night and day
good and evil
right and wrong

The universe inevitably seeks balance so when there is a swing one way or the other, the opposite will be true. It is then that we tend to learn "our life lessons" which is the reason we are in existence.

Yes, but it might not be appropriate to say it this way, because what comes after death is not life as we know it, but some sort of spiritual existence until God comes again in glory to judge the living and the dead.

hmm... life after death: ok, let's see here... a viable egg & spermie meet and *poof* a living organism begins to develop and grow, etc.

Aha, a "life"...
The 'living thing' is grown now and sitting near a pond fishing on a sunny day... and **crash** a giant oak tree falls on the 'living thing', crushing and killing it.

Aha, a "death"...
The end of a 'living thing'.

Nothingness...
The 'dead thing' decays and its chemical and mineral components become part of other 'living things' or inanimate stuff.

so, does a living thing return to life after it dies? Uhh, no... it's DEAD! But, in decomposition, much dead organic matter is recycled for the growth and development of many other new lifeforms... cool, huh?

From nothing can something be made, just as from something can nothing be made... the matter of the existing universe can neither be created or destroyed, but its form and its nature can be altered.

I would like to think there is. Not an afterlife, per se, but a reincarnation. Believing in an Afterlife means believing in a higher being, and I'm not willing to place my faith in something that I can't see proven. However, believing in reincarnation requires only believing in the nature of human spirits as things that will transcend death, to be reborn again, giving everyone their second chance, punishment, reward, whatever they deserve. I would like to be able to think that people who do horrid things in this life don't get much of a chance in their next, until they've atoned for whatever crime, but that is again too much like putting faith in some greater being.

Yes, Life after death does exist. In many forms though, do to the many religions here on earth there's heaven and hell. There's Summerland and reincarnation for us Wiccans and the plain of enlightenment for the Buddhists, oh and the happy hunting grounds for you native Americans.

Death occurs,it is the only certainty. all else is uncertain in life. Death is dying into the universe, you will be reborn, so death is just a passage of change. existence if purposeless, it is a play, purpose is human.

You can think that you know, it is only thinking, and not an experience. if you experience, then you will not be capable of saying that "i know"

i believe our energies are transended into a higher force, something we are not capable of understanding because of our limited capabilities of really understanding the unknown.

I believe there is a life beyond this one. I have some spiritual things that sustain me... a belief in Jesus Christ based on personal experience and study. But I also have a belief in and faith that just as a seed cannot show it's almost unbelievable possibility, neither can we show ours in the life and body we now occupy... you plant a seed to get the fruit or flower... we too will be "born again" into the possilbility that Christ envisioned for us.
