The Israelis see Palestinians as not human. Ethnic cleansing and indiscriminate killing is policy for them. For more than thirty years, there have been anywhere from 3 to 10 Palestinian civilians killed (not counting deaths of Hamas members, the PLO, or other Palestinian groups) for every Israeli killed. The lie that the Palestinians are causing the most damaged has long been debunked, but the media and governments still pander the lie to the public because of fear of Jewish lobby groups; they are more concerned with not being labelled "anti-semetic" than with holding up international law.
(Of course, they *are* being anti-semetic with their unquestionting support of Israel. The Palestinians *are* semites, just like the jews.)
Nothing makes the jewish people "better" or more worthwhile than the Palestinians; in fact, they make themselves worse because they were the victims of an atrocity and are now committing one.
By the by, the mass arrests and bombings of civilians are considered "collective punishment" of the Palestinians. By the Nuremburg conventions - the rules used to prosecute the Nazis for their atrocities -the Israelis are guilty of a war crime that the Nazis committed.

Israel has backed off from really hurting the palestinians scores of times. Don't you think that if they wanted to, Israel could do away with all of them? They have the fire power and the man power to destroy them completely. Palestinians are like spoiled brats: they pick and poke and prod this dog (Israel) and then scream like babies when the dog bites back. Israel handed over Gaza-they didn't have to. But the palestinians don't just want land-they want to destroy Israel.
So to answer your question, what makes the Jews any better is that they don't want to wipe any one off the planet. If you leave Israel alone, she won't bother any one. If you leave the Palestinians alone, they will poke you until you fight back.
It's not about one soldier. It's about the straw that's breaking the camel's back.

the jews think they can do what they want because if u are against israel ur against the u.s. which in my opinion america needs to back off support to israel. barraging the palestinians, killing women and children is not acceptable. and then when the palestinians send 1 rocket toward an israeli city after 4 days of seeing their country or whats left of it flattened by artillery shells all of a sudden its an escalation of violence. the palestinians are a small population in my eyes on the brink of extinction and if things are going as i suspect they wont be around much longer. israel is most likely on the verge of what is going to be the most horrific event since well the holocaust. israel is on a power trip and according to some prophets as being led by the last leader of israel..we'll see how that turns out.. All I have to say is may God have mercy on the Palestinians!!!

I am under the impression that they are both sexist theocracies.
So, I don't see any significant difference...they are both relatively bad.
But, if I have to side with one or the other of these two dysfunctional groups, I have to side with the underdog....the palestinians...as they are on the losing end of Israeli agression year after year.
The best thing to do, is try to get out of that part of the world and become a secular humanist.
That's just my opinion, I could be wrong.
