I have purchased rollsroycecars.eu after the sunrise period and have now received legal action from Rolls Royce. Any answers as to where I stand would be appreciated.

Depending from which country you belong has the same cyber law or not. I received exactly from an organization but the organization is in US and I'm from India so I explained his lawyer that this is not in our cyber law so I'm not interested in abiding your country's law when I'm and Indian residing in India.
When this law is implemented in our country I'll be the first person to abide by the same.

Well it's real easy - the parties should not contact you direct, they should raise a dispute with the domain registrer, or an authority like nominet.
If they can prove you purchased the domain name to make financial gain from them, then you can actually lose that domain name.
Equally do they have there name copyright or as a trademark for the net .. an example being you cant create a company online with Microsoft in it because they registered that as a trademark when used online.

What you are doing is called 'domain squatting' and it's generally not a good idea.
While you may (or may not) live in a country outside the trademark-holder's legal jurisdiction, because this is usually concerning huge, global companies, you have to watch it.
The company may have subsidiaries or group companies in your area, and the parent company will have a lot of money available to it to protect their trademarks, and you *probably* don't have vast sums of money to be spent fighting legal battles.
So... I would advise you not to fight with the big boys, even if you think you are right.

i in my opinion were given my area from GoDaddy, yet they value lots even in simple terms to carry the area without information superhighway hosting ($28 for 2 years for me). i have heard that HostGator is far more cost-effective, so i'd seem into that.
