I've tested quite a few and currently use the O2 IQ which think personally is great, to be honest the windows platforms ( pocket PC and Smartphone are really intended for business use as they synch with your Windows desktop. The Pocket PC version is found on the larger devices (PDAs) and has just about all the functionality of the windows desk top, emails, word, spreadsheets etc where as the smartphone is doesn't have word, or excel etc, but is great for emails, contacts - both have windows media player so it's dead easy to move music form your PC to the handsets. syncing the devices to the PC is a doddle - just make sure the handset has the latest operating system -Windows mobile 5.

Prices differ deending on the tariff - have a look on the online auction sites but ensure it's unlatched as some networks have a bespoke build on the operating system making it hard to use it with other networks. also most networks here in the UK offer great support for users of windows devices as they all sell their own versions and in general windows users tend to be the users with the highest spend!!

hope this helps!
