That is tens of thousands of people in this country who think its ok to commit mass murder. I think some serious education needs to go on by the local Islamic leaders. I am by no means racist and have a lot of respect for Islam and Muslim countries but to me this is shocking and some blame and/or responsibility needs to be placed in the hands of Islamic leaders in this country.

The logical conclusion to thinking someone is a martyr is to think that their cause is valid also. If the poll said 13% of British Muslims think that the suicide bombers' reason for killing was to attain matrydom, that would be a different thing - but I do take your point that maybe the question was phrased ambiguously to produce this statistic.

Yes , its a bit risky now to downgrade by trying to remove IE7. They share files or overlays some files on IE6 when you upgrade so you will have to use the ADD/Remove program option in your control panel to remove IE7.

Then go to http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/detai... and download and install IE 6.0 again.

frosty uk says having muslims has cost us millions through the years....... i am not sure what he/she means by that but we did invite them here, we cant just ask for the cheap labour and tell them to leave their culture and religion at the door. they may have cost us millions but they have also put billions back into the economy, now that piece of small minded racism has been dealt with, yeah 13% is really scary, but its our fault, we are the ones attacking bombing their muslim brothers, it is our press that drags the name of islam through the papers on a daily basis. if this so called war on terror looks a little unfair to me a young white non religious male how does it look to a 22yr old muslim lad whos grandparents have been killed in a US air strike. the problem is not how do we change the opinion of the 13% its how do we stop the other 87% from seeing things the extremist way. not really an answer to your question i know. and to mixmaster, i think the 13% relates to young british muslims, and believe me, there are many many young british muslims who are angry with the war in this country, there are many all over the world. i would be described if the 13% has been played down not sexed up

I find that very scary! I have to say it worries me. In my opinion you do not have the right to take a life. It would be great if some muslim people who agree would use their voice so that the divide between people does not get bigger and maybe the suicide bombers would feel they are not in the right as much as they do currently think they are.
Having said that I do not agree with the American invasion, let it be said that many Americans do not either and English. I hope one day we can all live in peace as one.

13% of the British public (and yes, I am British) couldn't find their head with both hands. There will always be a substantial minority of people in any socieyty who are misguided, uneducated, or just plain THICK. I would guess that a much higher percentage belives in ghosts, thinks that Elvis is alive, or that they have been abducted by aliens. Don't lose any sleep over it.
