If your diet is a normal, healthy, balanced diet then supplements are probably not required - especially protein supplements since meat is a far better supplier of all the amino acids you need. Tastes a lot better too.
You might want to think about your levels of hydration.

Your body will absorb almost any food, water, or supplement best after a workout.

Any form of fluid replacement is usually the recommendation, one that contains salts, glucose etc etc otherwise without replacing lost fluids and elements, this can lead to painful cramps and dehydration.

always best to have a protien shake right afterward...or come sort of creatine product
