Grow up and join a school.
You will find the difference from your teacher.
In simple words you measure a line in meters and a carpet or floor or a cloth in square meters.
One is uni dimensional while other with two dimensions.

Take a meter and square it. This equation only works on a square block.

ie, a 5 meter width piece of land is 25 square meter land. (both width and length are identical).

Measure height and width in meters and multiply.
The result will be square meters.

you cant... meters give you a distance, sqmeters give you an area

this conversion is not possible as mtr and sq. mtr don't have the same dimensions. one is the unit of length other being of area!
can you convert a length into area? no!
