we'll probably stay for 3 weeks. we're not really very outdoorsy so we're more interested in touring the city, eating out, shopping, and ofcourse, sight seeing:)

The Washington State Penninsula, the scenery is awesome. land in Seattle, rent a car. You have Olympic Game Farm in Sequim(drive around and feed animals-even kodiak bears and buffalo!), Olympic Hot Springs(get nakey & soak in naturally heated pools), the rainforest, Salt Creek Recreation Area is great if you're into camping, where you might see gray whales, Sea otters, and all kinds of pacific sea life and tidepools. There's also a gorgeous beach. You can drive for miles on the beach at Ocean Shores if you want.

From there its a three hour drive to Mt. St. Helens, where you can explore the Ape caves (2 mile lava tubes) or just check out the volcano.

Well the first place to visit would be The Statue of Liberty, then The National's Capitol in Washington, D.C. You also might want to consider the Grand Canyon and the Red Wood Forest in California.

Since you like cities I would highly recommend Wasington DC and New York City.

definately hit the northwest. everyone i know that come to visit falls in love with it. we have everything from mountains, to desert, to the ocean.

you can always hit seattle... its a cool city i just wouldn't recommend it in the winter. any coastal cities in the south east are great and southern california is always fun.

Florida is pretty cool if you like theme parks and beaches. If you want to see history type stuff I would suggest D.C of course.

depends on your interests and the time periond you're going to be in the states and also on how much of a budget you're going to be here on...if you list those details then I think people will be able to better answer your question.
