True, True.. But at that time - things were very different - but even then, Civilisation was brought to the colonies.. Think how different India would be now if the British hadnt come.. Most of the infrastructure in India is from the empire... The world would be a very different place if the empire hadnt brought railways, governments, etc.... You'd have a load of people living in mud huts (Probabily not - but its just emphasising the point) crapping in the street.. we've still got that today in India - but hopefully its changing.... The main thing we didnt do was introduce birth control to the colonies.. If we had - things would be soooo much better... Not having 5 - 10 kids just because 90% die...

Look , A funny man once quipped " the English never had any wish to go to the moon, there is no one there to give it back to when we have stolen all the good sports stars and used up all the natural resourses etc".
Now with this in mind, does it mean that we can invade another country if we can get something out of it, or invade it purely because we can?
I think not. Even if we THINK we are doing a percentage of the country we are invading a favour, we should not intervene. It is not our business to do so when there still so many things to put right with our own country.
Health service
The government
The homless
The unemployed
The unemployable( Some)
Hidden steath taxes
Into europe or not
this list could go on all day, but naahhh, leave it , forget about this once Great nation of ours, and mean while, lets go F up someone elses.

But you are referring to a time when England was one of the more advanced civilisations on the planet, and it was not just a case of invading and ruling the country - there was also a certain element of developing society for their own good in those countries, hence why the British Empire no longers exists as eventually the said "invaded" countries developed enough to kick us out!

a million)Assyria smashed Israel(yet Israel changed into not a significant civilistion, it changed into peasant settlements). 2)Alexanders invading military destroys the Persian Empire. 3)Islam(desolate tract Arabs) destroys the middle east and Persia once lower back alongside with the destruction of the phonecians. 4)Constantinople, between the richest capitals changed into invaded by using the Muslims to make it a nasty position, IStanbul. that doesn't advise civilizations may continually die through invasions, the chinese withstood Mongols, a eastern invasion and a western invasion.India changed into invaded by using the Muslims and conflict ensued for 800 years, then the British got here and made conflict for 2 hundred years. So, 1000 years and India continues to be Hindu, China even although communist, has its own preserved concepts.

Depends how far back into history you want to go. The Romans were pretty good at subjugating peoples they invaded. The Mongols had a good stab at it, the Scythians were feared in their day. And what about Alexander the Great and the Macedonians?

England needs to start taking responsibility for all the harm it has caused (and still is causing) other countries in the world and stop patting itself on the back for being so brilliant when it's humanity is, in fact, quite retarded.

You are absolutely correct, and I congratulate you on your clear statement.
And Britain is also responsible for many of the social and political problems that blight the modern world (e.g. racism, drug abuse, Third World poverty and unfair trade).
