I'm not familiar with Kurt Cobain's music but I'm pretty sure Johnny Cash's will be around for a long time.

Johnny Cash yes, Kurt Cobain no he all ready becoming irrelevent and I don't really care for Johnny Cash that much he maybe 2 or 3 songs I even care to listen to and Cobain knew he was going no where fast so Boom now he's famous cause he committed suicide but his music sucks Smells like teen spirit? what's that sweat, clearacil and burgers?

Cash will live on. Cobain didn't do **** except for kill himself, which is the best way to achieve immortality. He's not even really responsible for the "grunge" movement, there were many other (better) bands doing it before Nirvana. They just happened to be the most successful.

Like all other music, it will still be relevant but people will have less respect for it. Look at Pink Floyd or Led Zeppelin who lived in the shadow of the Beatles and others. They are always better musicians and better writers, but they suffer of non popularity,

Sure. A lot of music will be forgotten history in 50 years, but those two artists will still be getting airplay.

Of course.
I still listen to Dorothy Dandridge, her music is some of the best to me. Her music is quite old. 40 or 50 years I would say. To me, music is like wine, it only gets sweeter with time. Hey that rhymed ! :P
