CIA: Osama Helped Bush in '04

By Robert Parry
July 4, 2006

On Oct. 29, 2004, just four days before the U.S. presidential election, al-Qaeda leader Osama bin-Laden released a videotape denouncing George W. Bush. Some Bush supporters quickly spun the diatribe as “Osama’s endorsement of John Kerry.” But behind the walls of the CIA, analysts had concluded the opposite: that bin-Laden was trying to help Bush gain a second term.

This stunning CIA disclosure is tucked away in a brief passage near the end of Ron Suskind’s The One Percent Doctrine, which draws heavily from CIA insiders. Suskind wrote that the CIA analysts based their troubling assessment on classified information, but the analysts still puzzled over exactly why bin-Laden wanted Bush to stay in office.

According to Suskind’s book, CIA analysts had spent years “parsing each expressed word of the al-Qaeda leader and his deputy, [Ayman] Zawahiri. What they’d learned over nearly a decade is that bin-Laden speaks onl

Because it doesn't suit America/Bush.
There will not be any more reason to continue 'War on Terror' and American goals to capture oil resources will not be fulfilled.
Osama is either
Dead,
or
In American custody
or
America wants him to remain at large till their designs are fulfilled.

That makes no sense. Kerry wouldn't comit troops if we were invaded much less to hunt down Bin Ladin. So Bin Ladin had a vested interest in Bush losing the election. Unless there was some very secret deal between various Arab leaders who wanted Saddam gone and were willing to sacrafice terrorists to get rid of Saddam, then there is absolutely no reason for Bin Ladin to want Bush to win the war. Not that Bush has been especially effective. That is more the fault of the US high command than Bush who has no control over day to day operations in Iraq.

As for what Bin Ladin saying being spun for the Bush campaign, that would make great propoganda against Kerry. Since Kerry is such a fake, wishy washy pacifist and terrorism has esculated to the level where the existance of humanity is at stake. Then anything anit-Bush said by Bin Ladin played right into Bush's hands. Bin Ladin has shown no talent for politics. Likely has no comprehending of how his statements will be taken. He has made many anti-Bush statements. Many Anti-US statements. The guy is just posturing and trying to shore up his own support base. If there was any cunning behind the timing it was that Bin Ladin knew his statement would get played alot during the election thus reaching millions of American Muslims.

Is Suskind one of those Bush flew the planes into the WTC guys?

Now think for a second; just a second; if you are Osama and you can speak out in a manner that either helps or hurts Bush before his election. YOU know the American public hates you; so the side you want to support is the one you want to lose.

THINK WOULD YOU!

Bin Ladin is not really captured he will be declared the "greasy spot in the middle" of a few military intellegence photo taken in some distant cave starting -- in some desillate mountain bypass--- merely about 2 weeks beforehand the subsequent election !! for sure, they could have DNA data to lower back this up !!

Osama knows that Bush is so stupid he would have trouble catching Herpes. Also don't forget the Bin Laden and Bush close long term family ties.
All kidding asside, I think Osama wants to incite military responses as proof that the crusaders are antiislamic. If you got someone, who for example pulled out of Iraq or made Israel behave better, OBL would have less sources of potential jihadis

Bin Laden cannot be found just like my TV remote cannot be found, or my car keys. I haven't looked in the right place yet. There's thousands of caves in Afghanistan for Bin Laden to hide in, or he could be hiding in other countries that support him. It's a complex game of hide and seek.

Xanana had the idea answer!

With his money and following people are either too afraid of him or want his money. In either case, he has the whole world to hide in and is likely in one of the countries we cannot touch such as IRAN or even North Korea.

He could be in Syria, but he could be living next door to anyone of you!

He will be produced when the time is right. I have no doubt that our government knows where he is and it is not the right time politically for him to appear. When the rethugs feel that they need the publics support at the polls, all of a sudden, eureka, they will have him "captured"....and dead.
