I work in a convenince store, he accused me of stealling cigarettes, I asked him how did he get the idea I was stealing. when we start and finish a shift ,we count the cigaretttes, and he said I was always short. He has cameras on us, so I told him to look at the tapes, because I didn't steal anything, he said he dosent have tapes, only the paper we count our cigarettes to prove it. The person on the shift before me could have stollen the cigarettes and still counted that they were their, Right? So how can he hold money out of my last check!!!! I dont want him to get away with this!!!

Small claims court, better business bureau, the head office of the convenience store. It's not enough money to hire a lawyer for, but I would first contact the convenience store chain (if there is one), then the better business bureau (don't know if they can help, but it's worth a shot), and maybe think about suing for wages in small claims court.

tell him if he does not check the tape and show to you/prove to you that he caught you stealing, then he is withholding money that you have worked for and you could take it to court. If he doesn't, then just get a lawyer to come in and tell him that although that piece of paper says one thing, the camera says another and you could cost him a ton of money in legal fees and eventually win due to the video surveillience. So it would be best if he just payed you the money you worked for.

If you have not been counting the cigarettes accurately, then it is possible that the person prior to you could be taking them and you could be blamed. If you have been thorough with counting the cigarettes, then you should contact a lawyer for advice.

Consult a lawyer and tell the lawyer that this person is cheating you so cheating case & Assult case both charges can be given to this person and one more thing, tell your lawyer that he needs to get your last cheque + 500000 for assult. You'll pay your lawyer 25% once he wins the same.
Some lawyers will say no but many will say yes.

You don't need an attorney, just file a small claims suit for you check. It's easy just go into your local courthouse fill out the paperwork, they will send a certified letter, and set up a court date. You'll get it no doubt.

i used to be a safety coordinator at a bp and we had to count cigs and every single person would count different he can not go by the counts that is so wrong....i would try to call a coorporate office if there is one, he has no right to hold your check by law. and he probley doesn't think you will take this above him so do it.

I think he can only dock it for so long, check your state laws. Call the police station, not 911, or a lawyer and ask them about it.

Yeah definately take him to court, or send a lawyer in to your job to scare the **** out of your manager.. Tell him to pony up the dough or he'll be paying more for court costs.
oh yeah,.....and find another job... hell with all that.
