Is it the 'adult' world of having a job and a family? Is it dealing with 'real world' situations like the loss of a loved one or a friend? Or is it knowing the difference between youth and maturity?

Or yet, is it knowing for yourself what's right for you?
Knowing how to help others?
How can anyone really define the 'real world' outside of a television show that just doesn't do the term justice?

What is the real world?
And why should I be a part of it?

the "real world" is defined specifically by all age groups differently and uniquely.

Think about it... 2 yr olds have their "real world"... and 15 yr olds have theirs... 36 yr olds have theirs. Some are living in a false sense of what the real world really is before they experience what they "think" is the real world.

I didn't really know what I thought the "real world" really was until both my parents were dead before I turned 33. There was a lot more growing up I had to do, guidance I needed. Real worlds to be experienced.

What is right for you, is what you are living and if you are not happy with it, what is right for you is recognizing the changes you need to make to make "your real world" happy...

The Real World has nothing to do with a television show.. that is staged... our lives are here, and we have to live them and live with the consequences of our actions day in and day out...

And for the last question... You have to be part of it because the everyday existence of us is the "real world" in which we live... unless you choose to blow your brains out... then you don't have to be part of the real world anymore...

The real world is struggling to survive and as soon as you are old enough to actually think for yourself you're in it. The child goes with the flow and through the guidance of his guardians avoids death and learns skills. The teen is uncertain, their body changing the teen is an emotional tempest, more independent than the child by still needing guidance. The adult is the struggler, whether with family or alone their actions dictate their future whether it be one of success and family or one of failure and an early death. This has been a creepy Catsimboy monologue.

The "real world" could simply be the reality in which you live. Or if you hate your life, or live with your parents, then the "real world" would be the opposite of your perception. I suppose it just depends. My "real world" involves my thoughts and actions, as well as the thoughts and actions of others that may have an impact in on my life. If I can feel it and I can experience it...then I suppose good or bad, it's "real" to me.

Furthermore, as long as you can experience it, whether you like it or not you are a part of it.

Real world refers to situations where the relationships between people are not pre-defined. When we go to school for example, we say that is not the real world because everyone has their place and role, things are pre-defined. Dealing with the real world means exposing yourself to situations and people where nothing is previously defined, where you will be the one trying to determine who is who and what is what, how are you able to change something if it doesn't suit you, you are the one who needs to figure it out if something's beneficial to you (situations, people), and if you can't chance it are you able to bear it, how you are able to bear it. The real world sounds like a video game, go face it, it's cool, you choose your own weapons, you get bonus points, you lose points, and you are always given more then one chance to live. I swear it's the truth.

This question is very deep and can not be defined easily. The "real world" is life and all that comes with it. Things you see, hear, smell, taste, touch, think, feel. It's all "real", right? Real world is not restricted to a definitoin. A dictionary and the human mind is limited in its ways of processing is anything really "REAL"? I probably didnt answer your question but its a good one. i hope to open your mind to other questions and things still not yet discovered.

This is the real world. Whatever it is you are doing, whatever it is I am doing, whatever it is all the rest of the human population is doing, that is the REAL world. Nothing can be more real nor tangible than what we are all individually doing on each of our own ways, wherever we are, how young or old we may be.

Why should we be a part of this? Because from the moment of your birth and mine, we are already its participants, unwilling then yet already a part of it.

Say hello to the real world! It cannot be any more real than this. :)

"The Real World" is knowledge. It's knowing that things aren't always fair and that you aren't always going to get your way. It's knowing that you are going to have to do things that you don't want to do. It's figuring out that no one is going to hand anything to you and most people have to work hard for what they get...and that you are no exception. It's a point when you have to stop blaming others for your problems and take responsibility for your actions. It's also the point when if you don't do the above mentioned things, your peers stop wanting to relate to you, as you have never grown up.

The real world is a person trying to make their way on their own.

It's that simple. Whether you choose to live in a society or out in the wilderness, how you "make it" (survive) is all on you. That is the real world.
