Why be led to slaughter as a blind sheep?

Because you didn't question authority...

To Raise a question at anytime does not mean you have to be disrespectful. It does mean that you want to be informed.

Excerpt:

"I should like to point out immediately that just because I happen to be born in 1948, it doesn't mean that what I have to say as a nineteen-year-old is anymore than what nine-teen-year-olds had to say in, to pick a year at random, 1920. To say that youth is what's happening is absurd. It's always been happening. Everyone is nineteen, only at different times. This youth-cult scene is a disservice to everyone. I'm anticipating a severe psychologicical set-back when I turn twenty, and I don't know what I'm going to do when my youth-fare card runs out. As far as this "don't-trust-anyone-over-30" s#*t, I agree in principle, but I think they ought to drop the zero".

"Always Question Authority" means someone who is claiming to be in charge and claims they are an authority is claiming they now the answers. So ask them hella questions and make them prove they are. But what do you do when authority hides? You got to drag it out into the open and get everybody asking it questions.

It's more of a statement to make one realise that the only authorities anyone has over them, are ones that they have given those people.

Ha. Exactly that ;)

Don't accept what you're told . . .

When someone says the world is flat/round, question it. Seek evidence.

Discover things for yourself.

Did the United States EVER land on the moon? What about Neil Armstrong. There's a huge group of people devoted to saying we never landed on the moon. How do you respond to that? What ACTUAL evidence do you have? How can you debunk their arguments?

it means who gave them authority?? question that what they are saying and doing is "right" because in a position of authority one could abuse that and take advantage of people and situations.. it is a good thing to do "question authority"

Just because you have power doesn't mean you know how to use it. The minds of the many are often stronger than those of the few, and those without power can sometimes see better into problems then those with power, who can consider themselves over such things.

We have a right to ask, if one does not ask they will never know.

Sometimes those that are older than us or have more power than us assume they know what is best, sometimes they do not.

Asking is Power
