Breast tenderness is about the same as before you start your period vs when you are impregnated.

Pressure put on the belly early on in the pregnancy shouldn't cause any pain at all... but with your period, if you are prone to cramping... then yes, pain will be worse if you are starting soon...

You will know.. your body will tell you either way.. just listen.

Yes, it sounds like stress could be a big factor, but always check with your obgyn to make sure! I don't remember feeling any different from being pregnant as having pre-menstrual stress (cramps, moodiness). Some people go a whole tri-mester without feeling the "morning sickness." I had a friend of mine who did not even KNOW she was pregnant until about her 6-th-7th month b/c she had kept her normal weight, didn't get sick, and yes, still had her period monthly. She went to the doctor after having back pain and back cramping that bothered her frequently. Then, boom... she found out she was pregnant! I didn't have "cravings" until my third tri-mester, and it was usually something my body needed. I craved Babybell cheese for a month (so I probably needed the calcium), and the next couldn't get enough red seedless grapes (citric acid)! Pregnancy is not like a "one size fits all" t-shirt. There is never any such thing as a "typical" pregnancy or birth... I fell and rolled onto my stomach and my baby was born 2 1/2 weeks early and was healthy except for some slight Jaundice. My sister's baby was full-term, but was unhealthy, underweight, and had fluid in her lungs when born. Also, taking birth control pills will affect your cycle, depending on what kind you are taking. You may start spotting, or your body may quit having one for a little while. You may also notice more frequent or fewer periods if you have recently gotton off of birth control. Keep in mind you are SUPER-FERTILE if you are fresh off of birth control.
