If the oppurtunity ever arose that the people decided to take a stand on regaining our freedoms and rights would you be willing to join the fight? A revolt has been long brewing in America and I'm just curious about how big it is?

Even as an Irish man who is still living in Ireland, I think that it won't be long before not just the Americans will revolt against all politics all over the world and the sooner it happens the better!!!!!!!!

First off, I saw someone post that democratic nations don't have revolts. In the case of our country we had two within 100 years of each other, (Revolutionary War, Civil War). I don't think that our rights have been infringed upon to the point that there is a revolution brewing. I do think however that people are beginning to get tired of the way our government handles things.

No, I may not like the way the system is being run today but I don't think a rovolt will help anyway. Our government is run by the people of the United States, a revolt would be nothing more then a revolt against our own. Stupid.

Actually, I hope you and all the people like you do decide to revolt and take on the government. Hopefully, you will all be taken out by the National Guard and the collective IQ of this country will go up a lot!

I don't think our freedoms and rights have been absolved completely just yet. If, however, certain conditions were met to induce another Civil War (not involving slavery, of course) I guess you would have to choose to side or live with the outcome.

I would add that the US Civil War, in my opinion, was mostly induced by economic upheaval of the prior war (1812), and political tension was high, as it is now.

So, if the gov't (foreign or otherwise) were to restrict goods and services of everyone, then I would say there would be a fight.

How about if we start by refusing to vote on elecronic vote theft machines? Then maybe by refusing to pay for our own destruction? I'm in, but let's start with non violent means.

Chances are that people don't care enough anymore to revolt for their rights, Winston. The Proles have their cheap beer, porn, iPods and Versace bags. What else do they need? Freedom isn't what we want. Acceptance is.

So no. I'm going to stay home and worry about my appearance.

Of course not! Intelligent citizens stage peaceful protests in democratic countries, only developing countries have revolts against military dictatorship.
