It's called "Animal Magnetism". We are put on this planet to procreate typically with members of the opposite sex. The problem with men and women is that once they become Great friends, there is only one other way to express their feelings for one another. Which usually screws the friendship up if it doesn't turn into the love of a lifetime. The real question is why can't men jump up and down and squeal like a girl when something great happens instead of getting all excited.
And yes, it's normal.

It's possible. But unlikely since you seem to have feelings for the guys you are friends with. I'd say get a gay guy-friend, but you'd probably end up falling head over heels for him thus entering you into that whole horrible "I'm in love with my gay best friend." Zone.

My suggestion find a guy that isn't looking for a girlfriend and become his friend. If you want some help you can e-mail me at ligertygon@yahoo.co.in

yes it is normal, truthfully speaking, its just like watching a porno,if you watch it for a while then you going to get hard and horny, that's the same when you get around opposite sex,and i think that you are just starting to develop feeling for this person. Its only normal when you spend time with a person and get to know them but a guy and a girl can be friends but that only if you guys want it to stay that way and if you choose to pursue a relationship with this person please be careful of getting hurt if you don't receive the feedback that you wanted to hear, just take the easy approach, talk to her as if you were telling her a problem that you had.

platonic friends? YOu can never be completely platonic friends with the opposite sex. You'll always be standing on the edge of something else. Little things will always have other meanings. The fact that you are of the opposite sex always implies that there are boundaries. You cross them and you're no longer friends. Other emotions tend to get involved. You can still be friends, but also either more than that or less than before. Thats why its good to have friends of both sexes. Because there things that you can do with same-sex friends that you cant do with opposite-sex friends without eventually plummeting into something else other than friendship.

Yes. I've maintained close friendships with guys since highschool and have never been romantically involved with any of them. Nor have I been attracted to them, either . .. . then again, I'm gay :D

But my straight female friends are also friends with those same guys and well, they're just normal friends, as well.

Personally I think that men and women cannot be friends without some form of sexual desire between them. The only time they can maintain an illusionary friendship is when their are one or more barriers that prevent them from becoming sexualy active together.
These barriers include: other people, physical features, race, religion, etc.

It's not imposiible but it's rare. I guess it depends on individuals and on which foot the relationship started off on. If you got to know the person coz he's cute then it's difficult but if it started out as just purely innocent then it's totally possible. hope you get what i mean.
