First get seen by a Dr. as soon as possible.
In the meantime take Ibuprofen (Advil.Motrin)as that will help with the inflammation, also ice the sore area,do not use heat.
Definitely see the Dr immediately.
Hope all turns out ok for you. :)

Usually the first line of treatment is muscle relaxers and prescription pain meds. Once the severe pain is allieviated, the doctor will want to find the cause for the pain. Imaging, like X-Rays, MRI, Cat-scans can show spinal problems. Personally, I have found that regular exercise, a good diet, and proper body mechanics can keep the pain and spasms away. If lifestyle changes don't make a difference, your doctor may refer you to a specialist. Good luck!

First, go to the doctor and find out if it is a disk or muscle pain.
If it is a disc-DO NOT GO TO A CHIROPRACTOR

Alternate heat and ice (15 min each for several hours)
This gets rid of the swelling and allows the muscle to relax.
Get on hands and knees and arch your back then let your stomach sag. This moves the muscles and moves the disk in your back causing the nucleus of the disk to shift ( increases mobility).
Lay on back and pull knees to chest, this really helps low back pain. (Be sure to ice and heat 1st)

You should try to put some medicines for your back from a chinese store, such as 99 ranch market. Or you can go to a place where they massage people's back, that should be a better choice.

Be more physically fit. I have rods on each side of my spine (scoliosis treatment) and I have started yoga. I can really feel my spine opening up, and my back pains have decreased.
