Both teams performed well today. It was a great match. You cannot hold the German players responsible for what it is said that fans have done. If that happened I am sure their own players would have felt embarrassed and ashamed of the supporters. This is the first I have heard of this. It would be a big blotch on Germany after being gracious hosts and putting on a great tournament. Is there footage of this occurrence?
Well said Pancho!!!!!!!!!!

This is ridiculous!!!!!!!! You will be lueing if you tell me italian fans are perfect!Even if some fans were booing the anthem, they are sad exceptions! German fans are amazing!I am not german, but working in germany at the moment. I was watching the match in the bar and it was full of germans and only one italian girl! After the game everybody was congratulating her and beeing really cool! So don't tell me that germany deserved to lose because of a bunch of idiots!

I never booed at any national anthem. I feel sorry for those who did, but remember soccer fans usually drink lots of alcohol and forget about their manners.
I just don't get why you think the team deserved to loose. The team and the fans are two different things. Think of the image of English soccer fans -- English soccer players are far better than their fan's image.
No team deserved to loose at this World Cup semi-finals, they were all great and I'm looking forward to the game Portugal --Germany. Maybe Germany will loose, but then it's alright, they had a tough game against Argentina, that's why they didin't win against Italy. Italy just played against Ukraine, which wasn't tough at all, so you could have predicted Italy had better chances.
Just relax and we will see who wins.

To be honest, I didn't see the German fans boo the Italian national anthem. If they did, the answer to your "how do you" question is really simple. There's morons everywhere.
Since this is an international competition, some fans sometimes do exaggerate. They mix support for their team and patriotism, which is wrong.

I am Italian and I watched the whole game. On Italian TV for gods sake and none of the things you said happened. Nobody booed the national anthem and nobody gave Nazi salutes. Do not try to stir up things through untrue gossip please.

i'm 100% with you on that, what kind of fans boo another teams anthem? and i think that del piero wasn't the only one saying f-off to the other team... it looked like klose was saying some things to gattuso earlier in the game...
