If it does work how much can you learn/remember (a sentence, paragraph, pages, and etc..?)

It helps to "re-inforce" knowledge that you still must learn conciously. It works on a subliminal level, and aids in your long-term memory and recall of knowledge, but playing a looping tape while you sleep is no substitute for conciously studying something.

In my experience, yes you can. I've helped myself learn foreign languages by leaving the short-wave radio tuned to a foreign-language station, or a cassette of a language tape turned on while I'm asleep. It works. That's why visiting a foreign country is such a good way to learn the lingo, even though you don't understand much of the babble you hear as you walk down the street.

I've seen my mother trying to learn English with this system but it didn't worked for her............
