I asked the question " Do you like my avatar?" (the muffin avatar), and one poster reported it under a guidelines violation that stated asking the question "do you like my avatar" is "chat." I've written to Yahoo answers about their arbitrary definition of one simple interrogative as chat when so many others are no so defined.

FYI, I ran a search on questions in YA, using this string as my search term: "Do you like my." I found 4,046 questions of that simple form ranging from "do you like my 'name' to 'whatever.'" All simple interrogatives of the form "do you like my 'blank.'" So, you tell me?

Anyway, since my original question was yanked, here's your chance to give some feedback on all the above and also add any comment you may like on the subject of irony as seen in old advertisements like the Muffin ad.

Sorry to go on so long, it's not a big deal, but I do want to hear from the members of the GLBT category community where so often we have trolls mucking around.

Thanks!

The object of the original post may now be seen in all its glory on my 360 page which I finally got up and linked (yipee!). Its on my page profile, and also in one of my picture albums. P.S., thanks Uncle Frunk, I needed that :) !!!!

They might police us a little strongly (although I don't think that they especially do) because Gays, in particular, are renowned for cruising. We are therefore more likely to convert this to a personals site...?

I'm more concerned that there's an @rsehole out there who reported you and your question!

I can't remember what I wrote about Fanny's muffins but I L'dMAO, in the middle of the night, when I saw it.

yahoo clearly needs to have some guidelines to suppress chat invitations - which are rife around her. the guidelines happen to be such as disallowed your question.

guidelines are always 'arbitrary': that is what the word 'arbitrary' means.

do you actually believe that the image you use as an avatar is a genuine classic poster? it is very easy to falsify such things.

All it takes is for a person to report you no matter what the reason and it will get pulled. That has been my experience

my PERSONAL opinion is that YA (yahoo answers) are homophobic.
i ahve reported numerous haters in the past and i can still go back to this day and see the posts they made but if we step outta line BAM we are gone
