Everyone feels the sadness of a loss and that's OK, but be proud of what they achieved. This match could have gone either way and there is no reason for the German players or supporters to not hold their heads up at their performance, especially today's. The loss is probably made harder because it came within 90 seconds of completion, which must be very hard to deal with. Look forward to 2010.

I am sad because I hate the Italians style of play. Half of the time they are rolling around on the ground complaining when they aren't even hurt. They dive and they slow down the play by pretending to be injured. The germans aren't that much better, but they are still better, so I was going for them. Now, I just hope that Italy loses in the final, because they deserved to be knocked out in the Round of 16

I am.. I was teary at the end of the game. No more excitement of screaming BALLACK! KLOSE! PHILIPP LAHM! LEHMANNN! with the announcer, and no more red/black/gold to cheer on. I felt really negative throughout the game because Italy was playing better; their formations were so tight everywhere, both defensively and offensively. However, now I am quite sad and just hope that my second team, Portugal, fares well tomorrow!

Sorry, I'm not sad for Germany because they tried their best against Italy with the younger players. Next time definitely this team will hold the world cup. This time, the cup will go to France.

Sorry for you my friend. I am Italian but I salute you for your countrymen's great effort on the pitch. It was an absolutely fantastic game. It was a thriller all the way through and ended as a thriller. Somebody has to win. Till we see each other again in 2 years in the European Championship.
