clear case is essentially a version control software.

Most software development depends on the ability to maintain older/different branches of the same files which are subject to constant changes. Such a requirement is fulfilled by a ersion control software.

Developed by Rational Rose, which was later taken over by IBM, clear case is possibly the most well known software of its type.
