i have extreamly frequent urination, a weird sensation when i pee that is intense but not actually painful, and my urine is cloudy.
my question is, isnt there a over the counter test you can take to see if you have one..
and isnt there a over the counter medication you can take for it too.
and how effective are both of these items..

normally i would go to the doctor but cant really afford it right at this moment in time..
thank you for any advise.

you must really, i mean REALLY see a doctor because like what the first guy said you would need antibiotics to treat it. if a infections goes untreated it may get worst, not trying to scare you but that's the truth.

until you get the courage to go see the doctor stop eating salty foods, skip salt all together, drink PLENTY of water and drink ONLY water (absolutely no sodas!!!)

I'm afraid your suspicion of having a UTI is possible. I knew a lot of people who had UTI. Most of them are working at a call center environment. Their common complaints are the frequency of their urination (strong urge to urinate) and the burning sensation/pain they feel when urinating. They also have cloudy urine but (according to them) smell awful. It is best to see a doctor for an accurate diagnosis/treatment (i.e. urinalysis) but if you insist on taking over-the-counter medications try pain relievers (for example Tylenol or Advil). Some OTC medications you might use are Azo-Standard, Prodium, and Uristat. These medications contain phenazopyridine (the only active ingredient approved by the FDA for use in OTC urinary pain relievers). You may do a research about these OTC medicines just to make sure...

Try coconut juice as well...They say the juice is a very good diuretic.

Hope this post could help you...

H. Pylori doesn't teach up on your urine, and they many times attempt some issues even as the do a urinalysis one is for bacteria which comes back useful once you've a uti. the coolest element for H. Pylori is that antibiotics are between the cures for H. Pylori so do you ought to have it you'd be killing 2 birds with one stone with a view to communicate.

Cranberry juice can help, if you can't stand the taste, go to a health food store and get cranberry tablets. Also cut out the caffeine and drink, drink, drink. Cranberry will acidify the urine and aid in flushing your system. Boost your system with a good multivitamin, and B12. If you have an elevated temperature, that is a sign of infection, and you should really try to see a doc or ARNP.

70% or urinary tract infections will go away if you drink extra fluids to flush the bladder and kidneys, Best to have clear fluids and not too much tea and or coffee. BUT if this is not successful in a day or so you had better see the doctor and get antibiotics as you don't want the UTI to get worse and end up with a serious kidney infection.

You definitly have a UTI. Go to the doctor...it won't go away until you are on the right antibiotic and could lead to bladder and kidney infection requiring even more treatment. Drink lots of water and cranberry juice.

I'm not really sure about an over the counter test, but I've heard cranberry juice will work.
If it gets too painful, definitely go to doc. You don't want an infection to take over.

Just go to the doctor and get antibiotics, before an infection blows out the kidneys and you require dialysis to survive.

before you buy medicine for uti, you should consult a doctor first, but most doctor will advice you to buy your meds AND drink lots of fluids.. and they will also suggest you drink coconut water, its effective! try drinking it every morning and you'll result, you will have ease in urinating.. but if its already so uncomfortable that u feel pain in urinating, please go and see a doctor, they wil ask you to take a sample of ur urine for testing on how high are you puss cells.. but try drinking lots and lots and lots of fluids.. especially coconut water.
