My boyfriend who's not very artistic with words, was convicted of a crime I know for a fact he did not commit. The system "railroaded" him as some of his friends have called it. I know that the investigator knew he didn't commit the crime and I can prove it with minimal resouces that I of course do not have. I feel as though the district attorney office knew too.My biggest fear is that because we don't have the money to hire a lawyer outside the area these humans are going to do whatever it takes to cover themselves and it probably won't take much as the honorable people of the court are co-workers and eat lunch together as normal people do.I'm so scared that they are going to exaust his chances of receiving justice because if someone ever listenes to our personal experience with the investigators, and listenes to the purjury that was commited in the court, this county will have to pay this man.His mother passed Saturday. He will not be able to attend her funeral.HIS MOTHER!!LORD HELP US

You need to sue these people in the United States District Court. If you try and sue them in a State court you won't stand a chance. However, you must prove that they broke one of your constitutional rights and that harm was done to you. Sometimes United States District Courts have plenty of lawsuits available for people like you to look at. Try and find one close to your situation and then copy it....changing the pertenant information such as your name, the charges, ect....also they may have a Pro'se booklet explaining how you can represent yourself. Ask for it. Download Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and study the rules.
You can request an IFP form which will waive court cost. It's a lot of work, and it's not easy, but you might be able to pull it off.

Tell your boyfriend I'm sorry about his mother, good luck....and may the force be with you.

Why don;t you seek legal aid?

You have a right to appeal if there are grounds for appealling unless your bf has pleaded guilty himself tjhen he has to show that he did not understand the nature and consequence of the plea. What crime did he comit? If it is punishable by death, then he should have an automatic right of appeal.

If not what are the grounds that u can rely on? Was there a misdirection?... a lawyer can help only by looking at the notes of eveidece, ie. what actually happened at the trial.

Get legal aid if u cant afford.

How do you know he is innocent? Are you his alliby.. Can you prove it? did you testify at his trial? did he have a trial? or did he cop a plea? He had a lawyer. did you tell him what you know? Honey there are no guilty people in prison- they were all framed. Open your eyes , sugar, your bf got busted and you are in denial. "These Humans" ? Are you an alien? He can go to the funeral, they will give a compassionate pass for that if he asks..
