By the way some of you are reacting to this question i might say that this is true and you are only trying to protect the very little pride your team has.

Okey lets be objective here. I am Italian and it is hard for me to objective and obviously you have hatred towards Italy so it is hard for you as well, but lets do our best. What is going on in the Italian league is absolutely ridicilous. However please note that a similar thing has happened in other countries. And Most notably Manchester United was relegated.
Also please keep in mind that football is a billion dollar industry in tthe world. It is the richest sports franchise by any stretch of the imagination. Just like in governments, just like in politics, much like in the NBA, NFL, IBL and many other leagues around the world corruption certainly exists.
Now. The referees blew so many games in this world cup. And as an Italian I will tell you that we have gotten our share from thse calls and won with an unjustified PK against Australia. However if you are a football fan you should remember Korea. Not only that rthe referees consistently made calls in favor of Korea as they were the host country, but Italy was cheated not once, twice but three times in that world cup. And four years later nobody remembers and we are called the cheaters.
Leading up to the games, Swiss headquartered FIFA, and Swiss Sepp Blatter masterminded a great scheme against last world cup's great Turkey to make sure that Switzerland was represented in the world cup.
There was an offside goal by the Brazilians against Japan. The Swiss again got the refs help and got a goal disallowed against the Frencs. So these things happen. Some deliberately and some not. However today there was a fantastic match between two evenly matched teams, orchestrated by an excellent ref. The result may not have been what the Germans had hoped for, but it certainly was fare.
Italy won. And I hope they win it all. And I certainly hope that they win without any controversy.

Yes I feel the Italians are a bunch of cheats. Remember the game against Australia? They were down and out and needed to fake a dive! You should see some of the emails going around about them! And I feel they deserve every one of them. I wonder how much they paid the referee for the penalty against Australia to save them from the result of losing to a new team like the Aussie Socceroos. In my eyes theAussies won the Italians deserve to be scutinised and kicked out of the world cup for good. Who cares about how much they need to win for the pride of the country. Australia had 58% of possession against them and definitely would have won when the game went to extra time.

And here they go... ;-)

First off, there's still no evidence that the Italian Serie A clubs involved in the scandal are actually guilty of cheating. If they are, of course they deserve to be punished. But it might be just blah blah blah. Any country has its scandals. Just to mention a sports-related one: O.J. Simpson, does that name remind you of anything? Is he really guilty? If he is, are all American football players murderers?

Also, did you watch Germany vs Italy? When and how did they cheat? Do you know anything about soccer?

Italian strikers had a nasty time in Euro 2008 (and Donandoni enable excellent goalscorer Del Piero play slightly more advantageous than one interest...) yet that occurs. France did even worse (and Domenech idea he did not favor Trezeguet). score for the finest Italian Championship says 3 of the finest 4 strikers are Italian 21 Alessandro Del Piero (ITA) (Juventus) 20 David Trezeguet (FRA) (Juventus) 19 Marco Borriello (ITA) (Genoa) 17 Antonio Di Natale (ITA) (Udinese) and 13 of the first twenty are Italian (0.5 of them are youthful gamers). not thinking Amauri, who's going to became Italian. And Toni become excellent objective scorer in Germany.

okay, first of all, that dive against australia wasn't faked... second of all, what evidence is there that the italians have been cheating in the world cup? that's right... none! as for people that think that australia should have won that game, yes they played a good game but may i remind you, THEY DIDN'T SCORE! and isn't that what you have to do to win games? last time i checked it was...
