Jackson, he was the one who put teeth into the Presidency. Despite his faults, he made some huge precedences such as vetoing a bill because he did not like it, made the assertion that the US had the right to use force to keep the union whole when SC tried to succeed in 1832 setting the stage for Lincoln later. He made the point that it is the president, not congress or the supreme court, who deals with other world leaders so he must have the power to deal as such.

Plus any President who throws a kegger with an open door policy to get in on the day he takes office is OK with me. Jackson did more to change the way presidents are viewed than any other president in my opinion.

Kennedy would be the next up on that list, and then Clinton. Going way back in history, the only president with more integrity would have been Andrew Jackson, the only Prez to have ever payed off our national debt completely and kept us out of debt while he was in office.

Andrew Jackson was a the first true badass to be president, after him, I would say that Kennedy was extremely inspirational, Eisenhower presided over unprecedented prosperity and Woodrow Wilson led us through WWI. Best president of my lifetime: Bill Clinton.

James Madison. Rather under-rated, unfortunately. A prolific note taker, we owe to him most of what we know about the goings on at the Constitutional Convention, he wrote the US Constitution, for practical purposes. His wife, Dolly, was a magnificent, brave woman, that while Gen Cornwallace was burning Washington D.C., gathered important papers to save them from being burned. If ever there was a pair that we need to return to the body politic, it is James and Dolly Madison.

Kennedy! He gave the country hope, started us on our way to the Moon, got laid more than Clinton, and to a better class of women too.
He also started the President Council on Physical Fitness. A program that the FAT American kids of today, could sure use.
