"You" have been trying for a year now. That's your problem. You need to have someone try with you, you can't do it by yourself.

I'm sorry. You ask a serious question and I joke about it. I just couldn't resist. Seriously, many women have conceived after trying for 5 years or more. My aunt couldn't conceive for 5 years, she went to a doctor who said she couldn't conceive because of a "tipped uterus", and now she has 5 children! Then there is the nervousness factor. The wife of a good friend of mine could not conceive so after 3 years they adopted an infant. She was scared to death about how to take care of the boy but after a year she was confident about her abilities. A year after that she got pregnant.

Instead of wondering, why not go to a doctor, get your hormone levels checked, and have your man get a sperm count done. Then you will be better able to "know" what the issue is. I've also heard that if a woman is on birth control pills for years that it may take up to a year to get pregnant.

(maybe the problem is in your partner) women are born with a determine number of ovules wich will be relased month to month until you're menopausic. you can have the best health and be real fit, but if you have genetic predisposition to sterility, you'll have to look for a fertility treatment..

have you had a motility test done on your sperm? Its possible you have a problem, or maybe the person you are trying with has the problem, however both should be tested.
