It kept my eyes glued to the screen throughout the full 2 hours and 34 minutes. It was a total tribute to the fallen (but not forgotten) Christopher Reeve. Loved It til the end.

Yes, I thought it was really good. I would have liked to see Superman actually die sending the crystal mass into space and then see the son grown up in the continuation of the movie line. I would have also liked to have seen the son doing different "super" things that just tossing the piano and killing the guy. He could have easily opened the pantry door and got them out of there. I very much liked the cheesy 80s style opening credits too! I thought Kevin Spacey could have been more evil and less over the top, and Kitty was just retarded. No super-villian would ever have anything to do with such a ditsy stupid woman. Overall I was very happy that I actually shelled out my hard-earned cash to go and see the movie!

Brandon Routh played a great Superman and reminded me a lot of Christopher Reeves
Kevin Spacey played a better Lex Luthor than Gene Hackman.
Kate Bosworth was not a very good Lois Lane I thought Margot Kidder played her better.
all in all I thought the movie was very good. I thought Kevin played Lex much more ruthless like he is in the comic books.

I've seen it last weekend and thought that it was very well done. I thought that using a unknown (Routh) for Superman was a good idea because then the audience doesn't have any preconceived notions of him from seeing him in other films. I thought that the story and the special effects were great, and that Kevin Spacey played a good Lex Luthor.

My favorite things about the film were the nostalgia for the 1970's films. I thought Brandon Routh did a great job of emulating Reeve.
I just felt the film relied on the effects a little too much.

it seemed rather trite and disapointing. they could have done a lot more. just a rehash of the same old stuff. no imagination. no plot. no character development. bad acting, just posing. the little superman jr was a real poor choice. doesn't hollywood have thousands of young actors better than that. He was a piece of wood. a cardboard cut-out. no charm. no personality. no lines
the dialogue was stilted throughout.

i liked it. i really liked the actors and actresses they picked out. i feel like they did the most characterization of the villain, kevin spacey. hopefully in later installments of superman they flesh out the main characters more like lois and clark so that we care more about them. i liked the whole son subplot, but i think it's weird how lois' boyfriend factors in. clark is so cute! i kind of wish that the conflict "threat to the world" was more believable and less comic-plotlinish... the whole new continent growing thing.
