The Ab Shocker.
People actually paid money for a device to give themselves electrical shocks in the stomach in hopes of losing weight without diet and exercise.
Well, this proved the old adage that a fool and his money are soon parted.
{Spray-on hair paint for balding people would be a close second for this question.}
