To give an everyday example, when someone first meets another person, they put up a front, instead of realizing they could have alot in common with them. Id be rich if i got a penny for everytime somebody has gotten to know me and been like "oh ur so nice, i thought you were a *****". It's like..how can you just assume someone is a ***** before you get to know them...

A question to ask yourself...why do you keep attracting 'those' kind of people to you? Your energy must be such that you do. Change your own energy, put the intention out of attracting more of the kind of people you want to meet. How anyone else acts overall should not cause one to be anyone but themselves because maybe the 'front' is really who they are. As for me I've learned not to stick around long enough to find out if there is anything/anyone behind the front. I'd rather move on to meet others who are themselves from the start. If I am willing to meet and greet others as my authentic self then it is my divine right to have that come back to me. I believe that is what they call self worth.

People create walls from bad experiences and close themselves in for protection because people don't like pain. The human race and all other species is built to have some form of protection. Turtles have shells, bee's have stingers, and humans have walls. If we didn't protect ourselves from emotional pain at all we would be found broken hearted and torn... So my answer is that yes some people build walls but there are the few people out there who are willing to open up and be the life of the party because they aren't as sensitive to specific actions.

There is nothing wrong with being open with people unless your openness is rude. Relationships take time to flourish they just do not happen over night. People put up walls as a defense mechanism in order to protect themselves from hurtful people. These people that come to realize that you are not a bad person have probably taken the time to come to know you better.

You are probably too open. At least at this time in your life. Until you can take others' reactions to you, perhaps you should withdraw a bit. The time will come when you are strong enough to open up to everyone. Just not now.

It is natural and even subconscious to make an assumption about someone based on their appearance. Based on stories that you hear on the news, or personal experiences, people need to be careful when meeting someone new.

How cares if some people are walls. Best not to waste time on them and focus on the people who respond in a positive fashion.

I wish I knew. Either people have too many walls or they are just socially inept. Maybe a mix.

I guess it's a suspicious nature. Someone has been burned and just thinks it's going to keep happening even if it isn't.
