A DMG car was raced by Emil Jellinek and he had the name of his daughter Mercedes painted on the side. He helped the development of the 1900 DMG model that was the first of the DMG Mercedes line.

Whah I'm sure of is that the Founder has 2 doughters,, one is Mercedes, and the other is Benz. God Bless them all. they Created the best cars ever.

I have always heard that the founder of Mercedes-Benz, and I don't know exactly who that was, but named the cars after his granddaughter, Mercedes........ :-)
