No, if you are an American in the USA you are definitely free for the time being anyways. More and more the government is in your business but you can still get in your car and go anywhere you damn well want. That is freedom. What is not freedom is when we go into the polls to vote for a president and they put whoever the hell they want instead of what the American people choose. Most people don't want our freedom taken away. It is a lie that all these rich government a**holes tell us like "illegals only take the jobs Americans don't want". When you get your right to stop something that isn't right that is taking away your freedom.

How can you think that you are not, it is true that we live in a society that with many restrictions, but like LittleWoman said, for mankind to truly be free we would live in anarchy, there would be NO society or any of the great feats of great societies.

America IS a free society....
Unfortunately; that has allowed the poeple in our government to overstep thier bounds
Not in thier greed and corruption alone but it sure didnt hurt. Mostly because "America" is lame...
The poeples voice is limp, lifeless...
All i ever hear about is people whining about this and that and spending money on "Thier" laws.

Congress was not established to be a gaggle of grumpy old men endlessly bickering over new laws and the longer "WE" allow this to happen the more freedoms we will lose.

But no government can ever control the people of thier society, with out the consent of those people, it matters not if you are in America, or China, or Brazil, or anywhere else!

If the will of the people is strong, and they are united....

Fortunately we in America are free, and we should be thankful for what we have, not we are missing...
"We" as Americans have the right to VOTE...USE IT!!!!!!

VOTE-VOTE-VOTE!!!

VOTE FOR CONSTITUTIONAL CONVENTION
Only then will the American people truly be able to change thier society and re-instate the voice of the people, only then would be able to fix our government, and clean it of its filth.

Jason, how free do you want to be?

In American you have the freedom to be anything you are capable of being. You can say what you want to say. You can believe what you want to believe, and you can believe that freedom in America is a lie.

Try saying, openly, something like that in Iran, or Afghanistan.

Right... I live in a nice house with freedom of religion and speech, go to a great school of my choice, eat regular meals, see my family all the time... yet we are not free

I am so sick of ungrateful spoiled complainers!!! Go live in Iraq where we are trying to establish a good gov. and live the life the people over there have in the past and then tell me we are not free

Grow up, Get a life, And STOP COMPLAINING,
Even try being grateful for once, heaven forbid

It is not a lie. If you live in another country. Pick one. You have absolutely no freedoms what so ever compared to the United States. How can you say that? Why do you say that? Are you a f***** liberal or what?

You are free to do whatever you want, whenever you want. The only catch is that you have to be willing to face the consequences of your actions. Most people who complain about this kind of stuff are thinking only of themselves when they do, I may not like the fact that they're certain things that i can't do but i understand that the law and restriction wasn't intented to prevent me from being happy but to allow everyone the right to be happy too.

We live in the freest country in the world. Try and ask your question publicly in China and see how well it is received. You might not get to keep your tongue. You also have another freedom. Freedom of religion. Try and practice Christianity in China and you might lose more than your tongue. Do you have the freedom to buy a house? A car? Own land????? You need to think about your freedom's and not take them fro granted. Many people have died, past and present to protect them. Respect them and enjoy them.
