I think most people lost their rights to be called "American" the day they traded safety for freedom.

I think America is no longer home to the free and the brave.
America is the land of the scared and the manipulated.

Legislation cannot uphold your morals for you
Police officers cannot protect you
Your military is not your messiah
Your president is not your god

I think you might be practicing fomentation, not that there's anything wrong with that. It is one of your privileges as a citizen of the USA. As far as the brave part, the connotation you put on it is not what it means in the motto - and you know that. So for the time being, I believe Land of the Free and Home of the Brave is still a very accurate description of the US.

Why not? It's just lyrics to a song. Why would you want to change that? Who says our phones are being bugged? Do you really believe that? Are you watching reruns of Xfiles or what?
As for the brave thing. I am a Native and I could care less about the casinos. We have more on our minds than casinos. Anyway, it wasn't meant to refer to natives, it was meant to refer to the people who came to this country and fight for their freedom to practice the religion of their choice. We still have a choice here despite what the liberals may want you to believe.

We are free to say what we want on the phone, and most phones aren't actually listened to. A special program at the NSA listens for keywords. So don't talk about terrorists, bombs, or overthrowing the government and no one will listen to your phone calls.

We have more freedom than any other nation.
We have a lot of brave people in Iraq and Afghanistan.
